Please note: Due to major engineering work, the cross-London service from London Bridge to St. Pancras International will be suspended overnight on weekdays and all day on most weekends during 2009. At these times, passengers travelling from destinations south of London towards Bedford will need to cross London by either the underground or local bus services.
First Capital Connect operate frequent direct trains to Bedford from several London stations including St. Pancras International, London Blackfriars and London Bridge. Direct trains also run regularly from Brighton, Gatwick and Luton Airports, Croydon and St. Albans.
East Midlands Trains operate fast services to Bedford from St. Pancras International, Wellingborough, Kettering, Market Harborough, Leicester, Loughborough and Nottingham with connections from Derby, Sheffield and Lincoln.
London Midland-Connections from Birmingham, Coventry, Hemel Hempstead, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Rugby and Watford can be made using services from Bletchley to Bedford St John’s
Eurostar services from Paris, Lille and Brussels operate into St. Pancras International station giving easy interchange onto First Capital Connect and East Midlands Trains services to Bedford (see above).
Bedford Mainline Station is a 10 minute walk from the town centre and is well signposted
