Housed in the former Higgins and Sons Brewery, Bedford Museum is situated within the picturesque gardens of Bedford Castle mound, beside the Great Ouse Embankment.
The collections reflect the human and natural history of Bedford and the surrounding area.

Bedford Gallery
Bedford Gallery is a new state of the art exhibition venue, opened on April 1st 2009. A grant of £2.5 million has enabled the refurbishment of two historic buildings, Bedford Gallery and the Hexagon. These works form Phase 1 of the overall vision to refurbish Cecil Higgins Art Gallery and Bedford Museum, flagship facilities in Bedford’s Cultural Quarter
An exciting programme of events are on offer throughout 2010, such as Clocking In and The Unknown Artist: Stanley Lewis and his contemporaries.
